Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Leashkeep (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License to Use the App

Beacon Light Investments grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Leashkeep on devices you own or control, for your own business or personal use, subject to the App Store's or Google Play's applicable usage rules.

3. Your Content

Everything you enter into Leashkeep — household and client information, pet information, access codes, schedules, visit records, photos, and billing data — is yours. It is stored locally on your device only. We do not access, host, receive, or claim any ownership over your content, and the App has no server to send it to. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

4. No Account Required

Leashkeep does not require or offer any account, sign-in, or cloud identity. Any data lost due to device loss, damage, or app deletion cannot be recovered by us, because we never had a copy of it. Use the built-in Export Backup feature regularly if you want a copy of your own.

5. Pricing and Purchases

Leashkeep is offered as a single download with no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no feature paywall — every feature is available in the one app. Any price for downloading the App is set and processed entirely by the App Store or Google Play at the time of download, and refunds are governed entirely by their respective policies. Beacon Light Investments does not process payments or refunds directly.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except as permitted by law, and not to use the App for any unlawful purpose.

7. Professional and Safety Disclaimer

Leashkeep is a record-keeping tool for dog walkers and pet sitters, not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, emergency services, or your own judgment on-site. Medical notes and medication information you enter are exactly what you typed in — the App does not verify, validate, or flag them for accuracy. Storing a gate or lockbox access code in Leashkeep is a convenience, not a security guarantee; you are solely responsible for the physical security of your device and for how you handle access codes and client property. Billing summaries generated by the App are informational documents you create and share yourself — Leashkeep does not process, transmit, or collect any payment on your behalf.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon Light Investments shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including any loss of data stored on your device, missed visits, or billing errors.

10. Changes to the App or These Terms

We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. If these Terms change materially, the "Effective date" above will be updated. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. Data already stored locally on your device remains yours; use "Delete My Data" in Settings to remove it, or "Export Backup" first if you want to keep a copy.
